Share Your Belief Terms and Conditions
1. Organiser
This “Share Your Belief” competition (“Competition”) is organised by Xapo Bank Limited, a company incorporated in Gibraltar with company number 111928 and principal place of business at 1/1 Grand Casemates Square, Gibraltar, GX11 1AA (“Xapo Bank”).
2. Agreement to Terms
By submitting a quote and entering the Competition, you (“Participant”) confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”).
Xapo Bank reserves the right to amend or update these Terms at any time without prior notice and changes will be effective immediately. The current version will always be available on the Xapo Bank website.
3. Eligibility
3.1. Entry is open to individuals aged 18 years or over.
3.2. No purchase or payment is required to participate.
3.3. Employees, contractors, agents or affiliates of Xapo Bank, Aston Villa Football Club, or their immediate family members are not eligible.
3.4. Each Participant may submit one quote only. Multiple or automated entries will be void.
4. Entry Period
4.1. The Competition opens on 27 October, 2025 and closes at 23:59 BST on 16 November, 2025 (“Entry Period”).
4.2. Entries received after the Entry Period, whether or not they were sent before that time, will be void and will not be entered into the Competition.
4.3. Xapo Bank reserves the right to amend the Entry Period if necessary and will publish any such changes on the Competition webpage.
5. How to Enter
5.1. To take part, visit the avfc.xapobank.com and complete the submission form by providing your first name, last name, email address, and a short quote (maximum 100 characters). Only your first name will appear in public.
5.2. After submission, you will receive an on-screen confirmation and a confirmation email verifying that your entry has been received.
6. Selection and Prize
6.1. Selected quotes will be chosen by Xapo Bank, Aston Villa Football Club, and an independent judge based on creativity, originality and alignment with the partnership’s values of belief, resilience, and “playing the long game”. The selected quotes must also adhere to these guidelines:
- Keep it original: Share your own words, not copied quotes, lyrics, or commercial slogans.
- Keep it on theme: Make sure your quote relates to your belief in Aston Villa Football Club to be successful.
- Keep it clear and short: Aim for one or two short sentences so it works well on big screens.
- Keep it safe and positive: No references to alcohol, drugs, gambling, or anything unsafe.
- Celebratory, uplifting, or inspiring messages will be prioritised.
6.2. Up to eight (8) winning quotes will be selected for the main prize. The organisers reserve the right to vary this number depending on the volume and quality of eligible entries.
6.3. Winning quotes will be featured on the Aston Villa dugout headrests at Villa Park during selected matches or promotional events and may appear on the giant screen, matchday programme, and digital and social content. Only your first name will appear on these materials.
6.4. Winners will be notified by email.
6.5. There is no cash alternative, and the prize is non-transferable.
6.6. Xapo Bank and Aston Villa Football Club reserve the right to disqualify or exclude any quote at their sole discretion, including those deemed inappropriate, offensive, defamatory, derogatory, political or otherwise damaging to the reputation or values of either organisation. This Competition is intended to celebrate positive and supportive fan sentiment.
6.7. Aston Villa Football Club retains full discretion over which quotes are selected for display in the stadium or any other promotional material.
6.8. Xapo Bank and Aston Villa Football Club reserve the right to remove or withdraw any published quote at any time without notice if deemed inconsistent with the campaign’s values or these Terms.
7. Data Protection
7.1. By entering, you understand that Xapo Bank will process your personal data (first name, last name and email address attached to your quote) for the purpose of administering this Competition and contacting you in case you win. This is necessary for performing the agreement herein. Providing your email for marketing communications is optional and is described separately in the section below.
7.2. Xapo Bank may verify the authenticity of email addresses through confirmation links and will discard entries found to be invalid or fraudulent.
7.3. Participant data will be handled securely and deleted or anonymised within one (1) month after the Competition ends, unless retention is required by law.

8. Marketing
8.1 By opting in to receive marketing emails, you consent to Xapo Bank using your email address to send promotional communications, offers and updates about Xapo Bank’s products and services.
8.2. Your consent will remain valid for up to two (2) years, unless withdrawn earlier.
8.3 You may withdraw your consent at any time by using the “unsubscribe” link provided in Xapo Bank’s marketing materials.
9. Rights to Submitted Content
9.1 By participating in the Competition you hereby grant Xapo Bank, Aston Villa Football Club, their affiliates, partners, licensees and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties“), permission to use, reproduce, publish, and distribute any quotes, statements, testimonials, or written feedback you provide in connection with the Competition (the “Quotes“).
9.2 You specifically grant permission to use your first name alongside the Quotes. You understand and agree that this use is primarily for showing you as an Aston Villa fan, part of the campaign with Xapo Bank, yet without actually identifying you.
9.3 You agree that the Released Parties may use the Quotes, along with your name, in whole or in part, without restriction, for the purpose of this campaign. This includes, but is not limited to, use in the following:
- Print materials (e.g., brochures, advertisements)
- Digital media (e.g., website, social media, email)
- Online, television and stadium advertising, media and print of all types
- Press releases and public relations
- Match dugouts
This permission is granted on a non-exclusive, worldwide basis for the duration of the Competition Period. You understand that due to the nature of public media (e.g., printed materials, online posts), the use of your Quotes and name may not be completely reversible or retractable once published and some materials will be available online, in archive in perpetuity (outlasting the 2 years).
9.4 You understand and agree that you will not receive any payment or compensation for the use of your Quotes.
9.5 You consent to the Released Parties editing, adapting or modifying the Quotes for clarity, length or to fit into the format of the campaign, provided the essential meaning of your original statement is not changed.
9.6 You waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product or marketing materials that incorporate your Quotes.
10. General
10.1. Xapo Bank reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the Competition if circumstances beyond its control make this necessary.
10.2. Xapo Bank shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from participation or acceptance of the prize.
10.3. These Terms are governed by the laws of Gibraltar, and the courts of Gibraltar shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
10.4. The Competition will run for a total period of two (2) years from its launch date (“Competition Period”). Xapo Bank and Aston Villa Football Club may feature selected quotes at any time during this period.
Spot the Ball Terms and Conditions
1. Organiser
This Spot the Ball Prize Competition (“Competition”) is organised by Xapo Bank Limited, a company incorporated in Gibraltar with company number 111928 and principal place of business at 1/1 Grand Casemates Square, Gibraltar, GX11 1AA (“Xapo Bank”).
2. Agreement to Terms
By entering the Competition, you (“Participant”) confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Xapo Bank reserves the right to amend or update these Terms at any time without prior notice, and any changes will be effective immediately when posted on the Xapo Bank website.
3. Eligibility
3.1. Entry is open to individuals aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.
3.2. Employees, contractors, agents, or affiliates of Xapo Bank (and their immediate family members) are not eligible to participate.
3.3. Xapo Bank will request proof of age and identity before awarding any prizes. Failure to provide valid proof as determined in Xapo Bank’s sole and absolute discretion (including a government-issued ID) may result in disqualification.
3.4. The Competition is free to enter. No purchase or payment is required.
3.5. It is each Participant’s responsibility to ensure that entering the Competition does not violate any laws or regulations applicable in their jurisdiction. Xapo Bank accepts no liability if participation is prohibited or restricted under local laws.
4. How to enter
4.1. To enter, visit the Xapo Bank website during the Competition period and follow the on-screen instructions to play the “Spot the Ball” game by clicking where you think the missing ball is located in the football image.
4.2. Participants must also submit their name and email address to be eligible to win a prize.
4.3. Only one entry per person is permitted for each weekly game. Each weekly game uses its own image and allows one entry per Participant. Multiple weekly games may run within a single monthly competition window, but only one overall winner will be selected each month based on the highest score achieved across all weekly games in that month.
4.4. The Competition will run for five (5) months starting from [03.12.25], with each monthly competition closing on the final day of that month at 11:59 pm GMT. Entries received after the closing date will not be counted.
4.5. Xapo Bank accepts no responsibility for late, lost, misdirected, or corrupted entries, regardless of cause.
4.6. How the official ball position is decided:
A panel will determine the centre point of the ball to the nearest pixel using existing imagery. The correct ball position is stored as a coordinate pair (correct_x, correct_y).
5. Prizes
5.1. Each monthly winner will receive a prize. All prizes are subject to change at Xapo Bank’s discretion.
5.2. Xapo Bank will cover all shipping costs associated with the delivery of the physical prizes. Xapo Bank is not responsible for any damage or lost postage. Prizes will not be refunded or replaced in these cases.
5.3. There will be one grand prize for the season, consisting of two VIP tickets to the Aston Villa vs Liverpool match scheduled for 17 May 2026, the final game of the season. The grand prize winner will be selected at random from all eligible entrants.
5.4. Xapo Bank will not cover any travel, transport, accommodation, subsistence, insurance, or other costs associated with attending the grand prize match at Villa Park. The winner and their guest are solely responsible for arranging and paying for all travel and accommodation required to redeem the prize.
5.5. Each Participant is eligible to win only once during the Competition period. Once a Participant has won a monthly prize, they will not be eligible to win additional monthly prizes, but will remain eligible for inclusion in the grand prize draw.
5.6. Xapo Bank reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute any prize (in whole or in part) with another of equal or greater value where circumstances make it necessary to do so. Winners are solely responsible for any tax liabilities or other costs arising from receiving a prize.
6. Winner Selection and Notification
6.1. Each submission records an (x, y) position. The correct ball position is stored as (correct_x, correct_y). The system calculates the straight-line distance between these points using this formula:
distance = √((x − correct_x)² + (y − correct_y)²)
It then converts the distance into a score using this formula:
score = (1000 − distance)
The score will be rounded to the nearest whole number. Any negative result is clamped to 0.
Examples:

6.2. If two or more entries have the same rounded score, the coordinate data will be put through the scoring equation again. Although the score table displays rounded values, the final ranking is based on the raw score calculated to five (5) decimal places. The entrant with the highest precise raw score (or smallest exact distance) will be declared the winner.
6.3. The process for selecting winners is fully objective and determined solely by numerical accuracy (for monthly winners), or random selection (grand prize). Xapo Bank and Aston Villa have no influence on the outcome, except to disqualify entries with names deemed derogatory or obscene. Xapo Bank’s decisions in this regard are final and binding.
6.4. Winner(s) will be notified by email and must respond and provide all required verification documents (including ID) within forty-eight (48) hours. Failure to do so may result in disqualification and selection of a runner-up.
7. Verification
7.1. Before receiving any prize, the winner must complete age and identity verification by providing a valid government-issued ID document and any additional documents requested by Xapo Bank.
7.2. Xapo Bank reserves the right to refuse to award a prize or disqualify any Participant who fails to meet the eligibility requirements or breaches these Terms.
8. Data Protection and Verification
8.1. By entering the Competition, the Participant consents to the collection and use of their personal data (including name, email address and, where applicable, identification documents and address) by Xapo Bank for the purpose of administering the Competition, verifying eligibility, contacting winners and fulfilling prizes, in line with the legitimate interest of Xapo Bank, as initiated by the Participant.
8.2. If applicable, marketing communications can be sent to Participants only with their freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous consent.
8.3. Where a Participant is selected as a winner, Xapo Bank will require the following for compliance and verification:
a) A valid government-issued ID to verify age and identity;
b) Address details for prize delivery.
8.4. Identification documents provided for verification will be securely deleted or anonymised within forty-eight (48) hours after successful prize fulfilment, unless a longer period is legally required.
8.5. Address details provided for delivery will be securely deleted or anonymised within one (1) month after successful delivery, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
8.6. Any personal data will be processed securely in accordance with Xapo Bank’s Privacy Notice, applicable data protection laws and internal data retention policies.

9. Marketing
9.1. By opting in to receive marketing emails during the Competition entry process, Participants consent to Xapo Bank using their email address to send promotional communications, offers and updates about Xapo Bank’s products and services.
9.2. Consent remains valid for up to two (2) years, unless withdrawn earlier.
9.3. Participants may withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link provided in marketing emails.
10. Xapo Bank’s Rights
10.1. Xapo Bank reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend or amend the Competition (including the prize, entry requirements or dates) where necessary due to technical problems, fraud or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
10.2. Xapo Bank’s decisions regarding the Competition are final and binding.
11. Liability
11.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Xapo Bank shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury (direct, indirect or consequential) arising from participation in the Competition or acceptance of any prize.
11.2. Xapo Bank is not responsible for any damage or lost postage. Prizes will not be refunded or replaced in these cases.
11.3. Xapo Bank’s total liability shall not exceed the value of the prize awarded to the Participant.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Gibraltar. The courts of Gibraltar shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or in connection with the Competition.
